Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, began in 1876 as Texas’s first public institution of higher learning and has grown to a nationally renowned 5,000-acre campus with more than 48,000 students. The honors classes at A&M are unique in that they require only a minimum GPR for participation. The honor classes, which are usually smaller than regular classes, provide honor students with more one-on-one time with their professors. There are also numerous honors graduation plans that allows students to gain an extra distinction upon graduation.
